2025 Australia Day
The Council of the City of Broken Hill will once again be conducting an Australia Day Ceremony on the 26 January 2025.
Australia Day celebrations will begin with a BBQ Breakfast at 7.30am on the Civic Centre Plaza. This will be followed at 8.30am with a flag raising ceremony and Award presentations held in the June Bronhill Auditorium at the Broken Hill Civic Centre.
The official proceedings will include flag raising Australia Day Address by our Australia Day Ambassador, media personality, actor and radio host, Mike Goldman, Citizenship Ceremony and Award Presentations. This will be followed by a morning tea.

Mr Mike Goldman
Mike Goldman boasts an impressive career in the media and entertainment industry, starring on radio, TV and the big screen in Australia and abroad.
He is possibly best known for his various roles with Big Brother and its associated programs, taking on roles as host, narrator and producer across two decades.
He has also lent his talent as a host, narrator and voice actor to over 1700 shows across all major Australian TV networks along with internation networks ESPN, National Geographic, Disney and much more.
His abilities as an actor have been showcased with roles on shows such as Home and Away, A Place to Call Home and The Wilds, and on the big screen in feature films Goddess, Monsters of Man and Zombie Plane.
