Meditation Course- How to be human

The Wellbeing Place will be offering a six week meditation course. Our meditation classes are suited to both beginners and those with experience.

They focus on the shared experience of meditation and mindfulness, with the aim of exploring, learning and growing together.

Our experienced facilitator, Naomi Wild has over two decades of knowledge in a wide variety of meditation styles, which she weaves into each session in an inclusive, accessible, engaging and supportive environment. It is one of her passions to dispel the myth that meditation is about being able to always reach a goal of stillness or an empty mind.

Naomi teaches from a place of including all aspects of our human experience in ways that bring deeper self-awareness and help us navigate our lives in real time. Growing our capacity to move from reaction to mindful response and into deeper self-compassion. 

The outcomes of meditation and mindfulness is proven to promote wellbeing. Spending time this way can possibly reduce stress, reduce pain, promote positive health and wellbeing outcomes, grow deeper self-awareness and improve quality of life.

In this course, Naomi guides us through the layers of our life experience and ways we can understand and support ourselves through techniques directly working with areas of our physical, emotional, mental and spiritual experiences.

Each week there will be a new focus area, a short group discussion and then the opportunity to explore a new technique collectively. 

Previously, participants spoke of finding greater understanding of how to practice themselves as well as finding the group environment allows them to feel motivated and safe to explore these practices as well as growing a sense of community connection in a compassionate space.
