Final details for Plant Giveaway and Volunteer Expo

Council's big plant giveaway and Volunteer Expo gets underway at the Civic Centre on Saturday (August 3) from 10am! There is a mix of 450 trees, shrubs, and groundcovers to give away (limit of 2 per person) along with information stalls hosted by over 20 local volunteer groups. Saturday's event will be complemented by a kids Merry Go Round thanks to the Ys Men's Club, a big BBQ hosted by Rotary, and hot donuts cooked by our local Scouts.

Then on Sunday The Centre For Volunteering will host an information session for interested volunteer organisations from 10am at the Civic Centre. 

 

Saturday from 10am: Chat with representatives from the following volunteer organisations and see how you can give back to your community! Stalls include:
