Have your say on culture
Published on 20 July 2021
Locals are invited to have their say on the draft Broken Hill Cultural Plan 2021-2040 next week.
The draft plan is currently on public display and provides a strategic direction for cultural programs, services, and facilities in the City for the next twenty years.
It also considers the contribution of volunteers, the importance of heritage, and the contribution Council itself makes to the city's culture.
Council's Community Development Officer, Dionne Devlin, said a drop-in session would be held at the Library on July 28 between 10am and 4pm.
"We'll have a stall set up at the library for people to come along and give their feedback on the plan," said Ms Devlin.
"It will be very casual and a good chance just to have a chat about the plan and learn more, or provide input on how Council should approach culture and cultural services moving forward.
"We have a famously strong culture and history here in Broken Hill, so we're keen to hear people's thoughts."
Please note that masks must be worn upon entering the library.
