Event organisers who would like financial support from Council in the 2024/25 financial year are invited to attend an Event Sponsorship Community Information Session next month.
The session will be held at the Council Chambers (240 Blende Street) at 5.30pm on December 6.
Council's Community Development Coordinator, Rachel Merton, said the session would include a range of helpful information.
"Council is always keen to assist with local events where possible, and this session will help locals understand how we can help and any requirements that must be met," she said.
"For example, sponsorship generally requires that any Council funding be matched dollar-for-dollar, and that the event has the capacity to attract visitors and create opportunity for local businesses.
"Council sponsorship is about more than just assisting with a fun event - it's about working together to try and assist the broader community."
