Young women in Broken Hill are invited to put their names forward for this year’s Civic Ball, set to take place on Friday, October 24.

As one of Australia’s most enduring debutante traditions, the Civic Ball continues to be a highlight on the local social calendar, offering an unforgettable evening of elegance and celebration.

Broken Hill Mayor Tom Kennedy encouraged young locals to be part of the iconic event.

"The Civic Ball is a cherished tradition in our community, bringing families together for a truly special night,” he said.

“Each year we welcome a diverse group of debutantes – from those stepping into this experience for the first time, to those carrying on a proud family tradition passed down through generations.

“It’s a meaningful occasion that creates lifelong memories not only for the debutantes, but also for their loved ones.”

Nominations close on May 30, and all interested young women are encouraged to apply.
