Nominations now open for Christmas Pageant and afterparty
Published on 30 October 2024
Residents are invited to submit their nominations for pageant floats and stallholders as Council prepares for the annual Christmas Pageant and afterparty in Sturt Park.
The pageant has enjoyed a resurgence in both attendance and nominations over the last few years, and Council's Community Development Coordinator, Rachel Merton, said she hoped to see the trend continue.
"It's really gaining momentum again, it remains one of the biggest events on the calendar for a lot of families," said Ms Merton.
Organisations are encouraged to nominate early for the event to allow for preparations to get underway as soon as possible.
"Coordinating such a large event takes considerable effort, and early submissions really help," said Ms Merton.
"You don’t need to have your float ready; just submit your nomination by November 22 to secure your place in the parade or at the afterparty."
The 2024 Christmas Pageant is set for Saturday, December 7, starting at 6 PM. The afterparty in Sturt Park will kick off at 6:30 PM, featuring a variety of stalls, children's activities, and a special appearance by Santa.
Registration forms for floats, stalls, and sponsors are available here.
