 My books are overdue, do I have to pay a late fine?

The Library charges fines for overdue items. 

These fines help ensure everyone gets a fair chance to enjoy our resources by encouraging timely returns. 

You will receive a SMS or Email reminder before your books due date, you can also renew your books twice. 

We also have a after hours return chute for customer convenience.

Why does my letter include prices for items?

This is the replacement cost of the item.

If the item is damaged or lost this is the price that will be charged.

How do I login to my member account?

When you login into your member account you can add notification preferences, change your password, view your loan history, review items and reserve items.

To do this visit the online library catalogue and select member services on the left hand menu.
Enter your user ID, which is your member number located on the back of your library card and your password (default password is your eight digit date of birth e.g. 05/08/1980).

How do I renew my items?

You can renew your items by phone, email, in person or by going to the Members Services on our Online Catalogue and logon with your barcode number as your User ID and your date of birth (ddmmyyyy) as your password. Tick the items that you want to renew and then click submit.

My dog ate my library book, am I banned for life?

Certainly not!

Although we may not let your dog in the library.

If items are damaged beyond reasonable use, the replacement cost of the item is incurred.

The replacement cost consists of the price we paid for the item and a processing fee.

Alternatively, you can provide us with a new copy of the item.

I can't find the DVD I borrowed, what do I do?

  1. You can renew your items twice, this will give you time to look!
  2. Check the following places;
  • Under the car seat
  • Under the bed
  • In the microwave
  • In the kid's room
  • In the dog kennel
  • In the garden shed
  • Under the lounge

4. Unfortunately, the replacement cost for the item needs to be paid before you can continue borrowing.

The replacement cost consists of the price we paid for the item and a processing fee.

I've also lost my library card

If you have lost your library card please speak to our staff who can organise you a new card.

Is there a cost for printing?

Yes.

The library also have eftpos facilities if you prefer to use your card. 

Is there a cost for photocopying?

Yes.

Can I scan and email a document?

Yes. The photocopier can scan a document and email it to the supplied address.
