TEMPORARY SUSPENSION OF CBD ALCOHOL-FREE ZONE

On display until 09 September 2024, 12:00 AM

Council resolved at its meeting held 31 July 2024, for the temporary suspension of a portion of the CBD Alcohol-Free Zone to occur for the Broken Heel Festival. The suspension commences 10am on Thursday, 5 September to 10am on Monday, 9 September 2024.

The Broken Heel Festival is a fully licensed event and all attendees will have to comply with the agreed trading hours and Responsible Service of Alcohol conditions.

The temporary suspension will include a portion of Sulphide Street, adjacent to the Palace Hotel and Far West Auto. Specific details of the suspension, road closure and hoarding are Crystal Lane, Sulphide and Argent Streets (bounded by Crystal and Argent Streets - see attached map). This area also includes footpaths in the closed section of Sulphide Street.

All other existing Alcohol-Free Zones will remain in force during this period.
